Frequently Asked Questions

Last updated July 18, 2026

Honest answers to the questions we hear most — and if yours isn’t here, just ask.

Is Interactive Bible Studio free?

Yes — every study on the site today is free, with no account, no signup, and no ads. Open a study and begin. The ministry is currently supported by donations from people who find it valuable.

As the library grows, we may introduce paid offerings in the future to help sustain the work. If that day comes, we’ll say so plainly — no surprises.

Why do you use the Berean Standard Bible (BSB)?

Two reasons. First, it’s a genuinely good translation — modern, readable, and faithful to the original languages. Second, it’s in the public domain, which means we can display full passages, create audio narration, and share Scripture freely without licensing restrictions or per-verse limits. For a ministry built around walking through whole books of the Bible, that freedom matters.

You’re welcome to follow along in whatever translation you love.

Is the audio a real person?

No — the narration is AI-generated voice. That’s an honest trade-off: professional studio narration for hundreds of audio segments simply isn’t feasible for a small ministry, and AI narration is what makes listening to every lesson possible at all.

It’s quite good, but it isn’t perfect — in particular, Greek and Hebrew words are sometimes mispronounced. When in doubt, trust the written text over the audio pronunciation, and feel free to report anything that sounds off.

Is my progress and journal private?

Yes. Today, everything is stored in your own browser — your lesson progress and journal entries never leave your device. We have no account system and no server that collects them; we couldn’t read your journal if we wanted to. (This also means clearing your browser’s data will erase your progress, and it won’t follow you between devices.)

In the future we plan to offer optional accounts so your progress can be saved and synced across your devices. That will always be your choice to opt into — and your written reflections will remain private, protected by the commitments in our Privacy Policy.

Can I use this with my small group, Bible study, or church?

Absolutely — we’d love that. Share the link, work through a study together, and discuss as you go. Each person’s progress and journal stay private on their own device.

If you’re leading a group through a study, we’d genuinely enjoy hearing how it goes.

Are more studies coming?

Yes. Our study of Philippians is nearly complete, James is in production, and more are planned — including, over time, studies of larger books in sections and topical studies taught the same verse-by-verse way. The best way to see what’s new is simply to check back.

Are donations tax-deductible?

No. Interactive Bible Studio operates as an independent ministry and is not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so donations are not tax-deductible. They are gratefully received and go directly toward sustaining the studies and building new ones.

I found an error — how do I report it?

Please do! Whether it’s a typo, a mispronounced word in the audio, a broken link, or something that doesn’t look right on your device, email [email protected]. Every report makes the studies better, and we read all of them.
